  • I just have to say that I am impressed with how prolific you are with the articles that you write for your website. You write so many articles! And each one has so much substance to it and is really in depth and provides great advice. And I am not saying this to get a testimonial on the website. I just had to write because I was so impressed.
I find the legal market extremely vexing and you put that into words extremely well. Thanks. Jeff Cohen
  • I stumbled across a couple of your blog posts about business development. I found them to be extremely helpful, insightful, and a bit terrifying (in the way they should be). As someone working to build a practice, I truly appreciate you taking the time to write on the subject. Thanks and best regards, Ryan Clinton
  • As I start my transition from BigLaw to solo practitioner, I stumbled on one of your articles and after just reading the first couple of lines I could not stop [until the] end. Great, eye-opening read. Thanks. Gustavo Laborde Shearman & Sterling LLP
  • Thank you for your insights. Your articles make me think hard about my past and future paths. Dario Arezzo
  • Your articles have been influential in my journey as a returning lawyer. Sarah Pavlik

Thank you so much for taking the time to prepare me for the interview. Without your guidance, I most certainly would not have been as crisp as I was that day!

Over the course of the past year, I worked with over a dozen Boston area legal recruiters. Your recruiter turned out to be, by far, the best recruiter I found and was ultimately the one who placed me in a new position. The vast majority of recruiters I found worked off of a model which was, I believe, in direct opposition to my best interests as a candidate they started with a list of open positions and tried to force me into one of their existing profiles. He did the opposite; he spent a substantial amount of time with me at the beginning of the process and learned about my skill set and what I was looking for. He then wrote detailed introduction letters on my behalf, which he submitted not only to employers with posted positions but also to employers who were not hiring but who seemed like a good fit. In addition to being pleased with the amount of time and effort he invested in my search, I was impressed by his knowledge of the greater Boston legal market and understanding of how my specific skill set matched or didn't [match] available positions. He was a very pleasant person to work with and always responded quickly and helpfully to my questions. I have recommended him to numerous colleagues and would continue to do so, without reservation, to anyone in the market. He is a refreshing and effective exception to the impersonal cold-call culture that unfortunately seems to dominate the recruiting area.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed working with you during this process. As you know, I was working with a couple of recruiters. There was a stark difference in my experiences with you and the other recruiter. Your knowledge of the marketplace and your advice helped keep a daunting process manageable. I also appreciated that you were always available-- nights or weekends--for a quick question or update. In short, if any colleagues ask if I know of a recruiter, I will be sending them your way. Again, thanks for all of your help.
